Stationary Vacuum Deaerator
While the operator observes the amount of bubbles and switches between reducing the pressure and releasing the air in order to prevent material overflow, the stationary vacuum deaerator (vacuum chamber system) deaerates by breaking the air bubbles contained within the material.
Principles of Deaeration by Rotation and Revolution + Vacuum Pressure Reduction
Thinky's Planetary Centrifugal Vacuum Mixer brings inflated bubbles at the bottom up to the surface of the material and deaerates by the centrifugal force of rotation and revolution under vacuum pressure reduction. Compared to the vacuum chamber system, deaeration can be done in a smaller amount of time, and air bubbles at the bottom of the material can be removed more effectively.
Difference of Pressure Reduction Systems of Planetary Centrifugal Vacuum Mixer
The planetary centrifugal vacuum mixer's pressure reduction system can be classified into two types: the in-chamber vacuum pressure reduction system (ARV-310) which vacuums and reduces the pressure within the chamber where the container is set, and the in-cup-holder vacuum pressure reduction system (larger models including ARV-930TWIN and above).These larger models are designed to shorten the time required to evacuate by reducing the pressure within the cup-holder only (a Thinky patent).

A traditional stationary vacuum chamber system may take several hours to deaerate high-viscosity material because the bubbles contained within the material cannot effectively be brought up to the surface when the in-chamber pressure is reduced. In addition, since vacuum pressure reduction can cause the air bubbles within the material to expand and thus make the material overflow from the container, the operator was required to constantly monitor the condition of the material during deaeration.
In contrast to this, the planetary centrifugal vacuum mixer utilizes the powerful centrifugal force it produces to break the bubbles on the material surface, completing deaeration in an extremely small amount of time. Furthermore, the material is pulled down by the centrifugal force of the revolution while under reduced pressure, preventing the material from overflowing. This renders monitoring of the process no longer necessary!
